Hi-Volume Car Parking - U.V. sun protection for vehicles at airports
Shade Systems is experienced in designing, engineering, and manufacturing a variety of shade solutions for high volume parking applications such as at airports.
The photos above are of the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport near Panama City in Florida, a newly constructed regional airport with approximately 115,000 s.f. of shade coverage over the parking lot.
In this expansive application (see press release), Shade Systems was charged with the task of designing its permanent but removable canopies to cover 100% of the parking lot including the driving areas and the ticket booth entry.
Our CoolNet™ knitted polyethylene shade fabric is used over the main parking areas, and our WeatherNet™ waterproof fabric is used to cover the ticket booth area. A variant of our popular and massive Mega Spans was employed in the final design to provide the needed structural strength to each of the 60 canopies with spans in excess of 40 feet.
Our popular CoolNet™ 80% water-repellant fabric is available in 10 vibrant colors, screens up to 99% of the sun's harmful U.V. rays, and is covered by our industry-leading 10-year warranty. And, of course, all the above come with our innovative and patented Turn-N-Slide™ easy canopy removal system built right in!
Available electrical wiring and lighting features were provided in the structure steel frame design to allow night time use of the parking facility.
